FoshanTornado Research Center, founded in August 2013, is the first tornado researchinstitution in China. it is affiliated to the Foshan Meteorological Bureau andthe number of career establishment is 10. The tornado researchcenter is to improve the research and carry outscientific experiments about tornado and severe weather. The work would dogreat help to the disaster prevention and mitigation. They are responsible forthe tornado monitoring, platform construction, technology development about themeso-scale weather numerical models. They also organize the popular scienceactivities about tornadoes and other severe weather.
